Lots of Stag coverage coming up It has been a busy few months for the Club on the magazine front, with several articles in the pipeline, or due out shortly. Triumph World have an article on Adrian Planterose's 4WD Stag coming out soon, and this will be followed by a long-term test of a car kindly loaned to them by EJ Ward of Leicester. Classic Cars have a group test of ten classic convertibles, for which Brian Simmons of the Bristol Group leant them his pristine yellow Stag. The day included driving round the Castle Combe Circuit, and we went along to watch how they photograph and test the cars. We will have a longer article on this coming out later.
And finally Classic Monthly took up our offer of a Stag for a week - except what they said they really wanted was a good working example of a reliable car that they could drive and use on a daily basis. They said our slightly less than pristine Sapphire Blue Mk II fitted the bill perfectly, and proceeded to put 450 miles on it of every type of driving, including 120 miles in one of this Winter's worst wet days, with gale-force rain, and motorways closed on all sides. Thankfully the Stag never missed a beat, and they came away impressed with the usability of the car. |
