European Stag Meeting 2010

The ESM for 2010 will be hosted by the Swiss Stag Owners Club in Basel on the weekend of the 15th and 16th of May

Invitation

It is a pleasure for me to formerly invite your Club to the 30th ESM in the Region Basiliensis. Instead of showing Swiss Mountains and lakes this year we would like to give you a closer insight into ‘busy Switzerland’. Basel is a city whose existence depends upon its closeness to the border. It is supported by its surrounding regions both economically and culturally. Basel which is the hub of this region is definitely worth a visit. The 30th ESM will be a three nations event: on Friday we will visit the Swiss area, on Saturday the French one and the final of the event will be in Southern Germany. These three areas have their own attractiveness, and we will be exploring them together with you. You can find additional information on our home page www.triumph-stag.ch .The closing date is 21st March 2010. We hope for a numerous attendance from your nation and we will enjoy sharing up to five wonderful days with you in the Region Basiliensis.

Best wishes Daniel Moser President Triumph Stag Club Switzerland

The purchase of a Motorway Toll Ticket (Autobahnvignette) is not required for the ESM 2010. However if you intend to use Swiss motorways during your visit you need http://rail.stc.co.uk/produkttexte.php

Pre paying for your vignettes saves time at border crossings before driving to Switzerland. The Swiss motorway vignettes are valid for multiple re-entries into Switzerland. The vignette is valid between 1st December of the previous year and 31st January of the following year (printed on the vignette). If taking a trailer or a caravan, you will need to purchase an extra vignette. The vignette is required for vehicles up to a total weight of 3.5t ; if the total weight exceeds 3.5t, the heavy goods vehicle tax has to be paid instead (payable in Switzerland only). Please note that the motorway vignette is non refundable. Valid for the year. £27
