Tony Hart's Racing Calendar

BACK ON TRACK

2010 sees the return of my Stag to the tracks. It was originally built in 1998 to compete in the HSCC’s 70’s road sports championship series, and competed in 1998/9 and 2000. My son Ashley, who will be 24 this year has been pestering me for years, "Dad when do I get to drive the race car?" Even in the early 90’s when I was racing my Modsport stag Ash would sit in the driver's seat dreaming of the day he could drive it. Well the Modsport Stag was sold a few years ago and would not have been an ideal car to start his racing in, so I guess I have to give in now and let him drive some of the races this year.

Listed below are the dates and venues for 2010. If there are any changes they will be on the club’s web site.

HSCC lay down a set of regulations for each series they run. Below is a list of the basic regulations but you can see the full regs at the HSCC web site, WWW.hscc.org.uk

The Stag will be entered in each race by the Stag Owners Club and will appear as such in the meeting program and any advertising, so if your area would like to make a day of it at your local track I am sure the relevant circuit will allocate a parking area just for Stags and may even give a discount on the entry fee for Stag Owners Club members.

Next month I will give you more information about my Stag and the various modifications made, all legal and done in the best possible taste.

Unfortunately to date I am the only person to have ever raced a Stag and it would be great to have another Stag or two to compete with, so if you're interested in putting your Stag on the track please call me.
