John joined the SOC in July 1982 and lives at Great Chart near Ashford. </div> <div> He was SOC Membership Secretary from 1984 to 1986 and Area Co-ordinator in 1988 and 1989. Contact the co-ordinator to register your entry and receive start details</div> <bR> <div> HARRIS CLASSIC CAR CHARITY RUN - Sunday 28 September. </div> <div> Drivers will set off from <FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#FFFBF0" FACE="Arial" >Penshurst Place near Tonbridge </FONT>for an idyllic 100 mile round trip, stopping off at Herstmonceux Castle </div> <div> in East Sussex for a handmade picnic, a chance to visit the 15th century castle and wander around the carefully maintained </div> <div> Elizabethan gardens before returning to Penshurst Place for afternoon tea and a prize giving ceremony. </div> <div> The event is open to all motoring enthusiasts but it is hoped that as many classic car owners as possible will enter the event. </div> <div> Entry fee per car is £40 and all participants are asked to raise a minimum of £60 in sponsorship.
