A stunning Red Triumph Stag 1971. Original V8 3 litre engine, Manual 57389 recorded miles, LD production run, £13,500.

A solid and cherished Stag, a pleasure to drive, I purchased this car in June 2021, I have enjoyed taking it away every year on road trips exploring the UK, being a member of the Stag Owners Club, has given me the opportunity to go on some superb runs. the car has never let me down.

The body work including underneath is sound, as with a car this age there are a few spots here and there that need attention but nothing that requires replacement or major repair.

Below are some bullet points of what has been done in the last 5 years

  • New clutch and master slave cylinder
  • New wheel box and wipers and replaced washer  pump
  • New door & boot lock barrels
  • New sun visors
  • New headlights and bowls
  • New stainless steel exhaust silencers
  • Suspension rubbers replaced
  • Resprayed hood and boot (colour match)
  • Power steering belt over hauled
  • All seats re foamed and repaired

In my ownership the car has always been garaged, and rarely driven on wet roads, thereby maintaining the underbody condition. Oil and filter changes done annually; other service items as required. The paintwork is good and only very minor blemishes. The bumpers and chrome-works are generally good and shiny but the bumpers do have a little fine surface pitting, only visible if you’re really looking for it. The Triumph V8 engine starts promptly, sounds smooth, pulls well, and has been troubled free and does not overheat. The engine is all original spec, the overdrive works as it should and gives a beautiful ride there are 4 good tyres, a spare wheel, it has Mk 2 wheels. There is the original steering wheel and some spares, colour match Hard Top (in need of a handle bracket ) two sets of keys, a Haynes Triumph workshop manual and part servicing information. There are numerous bills and history. Selling due to medical reasons ….Viewing is essential to appreciate this lovely Classic Car, further pictures are available, and willing to do a video for serious enquiries if requested, full payment on collection.
