In case you’ve wondered what the Stag Owners Club has been getting up to this section gives you an insight to the events that we’ve participated in or held on a local or National level on a year by year basis.

2022 October

Ashington in Northumberland, a coal mining town until the pits closed in the 1980s, was this month host to fifteen well polished and very carefully parked Triumph Stags in a large established car showroom. Mansel Wetherell, owner of a rare eye-catching damson Mk1 Stag, the oldest Stag on display and also, conveniently for us, owner of the fabulous showroom and garage said “we were pleased to be able to empty our showroom for a few hours to offer members this unique N&N venue”. Andrea Stokell, whose sapphire blue Stag was in the centre of the main window, wondered if she would ever see so many Triumph Stags in a car showroom again. “Our members really enjoyed this unusual N&N meeting… everyone who came managed to squeeze their car into the showroom which was filled with well-loved Triumphs in an amazing display of bright prime colours reminiscent of the glam rock era in the early 70s when cars were Britain’s biggest export and most of the cars on our roads were made by British companies”.
