For sale is my Triumph Stag 3.0 V8 Automatic, finished in French Blue with a Black Interior.
This is a very nice Stag in very good condition. It is not a concours or show car, but it is a very good example that starts, drives and runs very well.
ENGINE & GEARBOX
The car benefits from a fully rebuilt engine, which cost £4,295. The engine and automatic gearbox are both excellent. It starts very well, drives very well and sounds superb. It has also been fitted with a higher-torque starter motor, along with a new aluminium header tank and high-flow radiator.
Everything works as it should and the car is ready to be enjoyed.
RECENT WORK & UPGRADES
There has been a lot of money spent on this Stag, including:

Veneered dashboard with matching steering wheel along with electrics– £1,250

New/reconditioned soft-top frame

The alternator, brake master cylinder and gearbox inhibitor were all replaced last week.
INTERIOR
The interior is in excellent condition. The new white dials really suit the car and the veneered dashboard with matching steering wheel looks excellent along with new electrics.
The dashboard and steering wheel alone cost approximately £1,250, and the white dials were another £750.
BODY & CHROME
The bodywork is very good overall, with good chrome work.
As with any classic car of this age, there are the odd marks and imperfections, so please do not expect a brand-new car or concours example.
It is, however, a very nice-looking Stag and presents extremely well.
DRIVING
The car starts and drives very well.
The engine sounds excellent, the automatic gearbox works very well and the car is a pleasure to drive.
It has a great V8 sound and drives as a Stag should.
SOFT TOP
It comes with a new soft top and new/reconditioned frame.
Everything is there and ready to use.
OVERALL
This is a very good Stag with a lot of money already spent on it.
With the rebuilt engine, excellent gearbox, new dials, veneered dashboard and matching steering wheel, new soft top, upgraded cooling system and the recent mechanical work, its been kept and looked after.
I am only selling because of lack of use. With winter approaching, I would rather sell it this year rather than leave it sitting around and then have to find somewhere suitable to store it over the winter.
It is not a concours car, but it is a very good, usable and enjoyable Triumph Stag.
