Magazine, Forum & Marketing Report
The Magazine
The Magazine continued pretty much as before during 2021, Due to the Covid situation articles tended to be more about restoration and improvements rather than trips out. The more technical nature of the articles seemed to be welcomed by many.
The major change will be evident to anybody looking at this magazine, we’ve moved from A5 to A4. Larger font sizes and pictures should make the new style magazine more enjoyable and hopefully easier to read. Production costs and postage are only slightly more than the previous version so making this a good value move. The updating and redesign of the magazine will be going on throughout the year so you will be noticing some subtle changes.
The Forum
The forum has generally been good-natured and quiet throughout the year, so much so we’ve actually managed to recruit some more moderators. So thank you to the moderators who have stepped down and a welcome to the new ones.
Marketing
We continue to send pre-publication copies of the magazine to various magazine editors and journalists and some overseas stag owners club Editors. These are generally very well received.
In conjunction with our advertising officer we provide material for various articles that accompany advertising in the classic car magazines.
