Insurance Report
Following the resignation of Patrick and Anne, I have stepped in as the Interim Insurance officer ensuring that the role continues to work well with members, the RH Club scheme and meeting the Co-ordinators needs. I did expect there to be numerous emails to have to address but to be honest, the queries have been low and straight forward to conclude due to good relationships with all.
As has been experienced across the Motor Insurance industry, Covid has had an impact. This is the case with Stag owners where during lockdown etc and less events, the cars have been used less. The club scheme policy retention is consistent with the last two years with an average premium of £144 per vehicle. RH provided track day cover for Silverstone National Day which certain other Brokers would not cover. They also cover other circuits too.
Our Chairman has mentioned on a few occasions now in the magazine Insurance Officer volunteer to kindly offer their services to take the role over. The role consists of addressing email queries and annually considering the needs for the Club insurances that we have in place. That’s it and over email so logistically can suit any member Nationwide. Don’t worry, there would be support and a good handover as all records are in great shape. Please either contact our Chairman, Secretary or myself for a non-obligational chat. This role ideally would require an insurance background past or present.
