Valuations Officer report
Once again I have the privilege of presenting my annual valuations report to the whole club via the magazine, instead of the audience that attends the club AGM. This year has been a very average year with regards to the number valuations, but unlike last year there has been considerable fluctuation in values. In the spring and as a result of the easing of lockdown conditions, values rose sharply. I guess the thinking was that if holidays and other entertainment had been sacrificed then a classic car would be a good investment. Several cars changed hands around the 40K mark. Interestingly though this change has has lost some of its momentum, and the second half of the year saw the values fallback to show a much more modest increase, probably in the region of 8-10% for the year as a whole. The redesigned Agreed Valuations Form, on the new club website is working well for me with its supply of more useful information about the cars to be valued. Although it would appear that some are having difficulty uploading photos. Please feel free to send them in any way that works for you. Please remember that digital photos as apposed to printed work better for me as I can zoom in to look at detail.
